Solve it Like this .Take the time taken by Father to cross the whole street be t1 miannd that by son to be t2 miannd the length of the street to be xnow we have45*x + 45*x = x t1 t2thus we have45 / t1 + 45 / t2 = 1Now formulating the second case .t2 = t1 + 35substituting this in the previous equation . we get .45 + 45 = 1 - -t1 t1 + 35upon further solving this would yield a quadratic equation and solve it to obtain t1 .From which you can get t2 as t1 + 35 Thats it I am assuming that you are not small to be unable to solve this simple quadratic equation . And even if you are one you can get it solved by me.. Just email me in that case Go ahead enjoy .
